CLAT 2024 Exam Pattern
The CLAT 2024 question paper for the undergraduate (UG) program will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions. On the other hand, the postgraduate (PG) paper will have 120 questions. The questions will cover various subjects including English, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, and General Knowledge, which includes current affairs.
As for the marking scheme, each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark, and for every incorrect answer, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks. CLAT 2024 Eligibility
For the CLAT 2024 exam, the eligibility criteria for both the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs are as follows:
UG-CLAT Eligibility:
- Education Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories).
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in the current academic year are also eligible to appear for CLAT 2024.
- There is no specific age limit for UG-CLAT.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts for UG-CLAT. Candidates who appeared for CLAT 2023 can also appear for CLAT 2024.
PG-CLAT Eligibility:
- Education Qualification: Candidates must have completed graduation in Law (either 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB) from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories).
- Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for PG-CLAT.
- There is no upper age limit for PG-CLAT.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts for PG-CLAT. Candidates who appeared for CLAT 2023 can also appear for CLAT 2024.
